NEXT STEP RECOMMENDATION
At RENDLE we believe that in order for change to be successful, you need to set realistic goals and start off on the right track. For this reason, we calculate a person’s Next Step Recommendation. Think of this as someone's ideal starting point. It is an area of lifestyle that we calculate would be best for them to place some extra emphasis on in the near term. Below is a 2-minute video that explains the calculation.
The calculation takes into consideration a person’s desires, knowledge, readiness for change and the scores of their lifestyle snapshot. It can be one of six different areas:
Sleep, stress, happiness, exercise, and nutrition are connected and impact each other
Understanding the interplay between the different areas enables us to identify potential obstacles and improve our daily routine
The next step recommendation is not necessarily an individual’s weakest area of lifestyle. And, occasionally, it can be an area in which the individual already scores fairly well. But it’s where we calculate a little extra emphasis will strengthen the overall foundation, making improvements in those other areas more likely. For example, we may calculate that an individual who really wants to lose weight and wants to change their diet would be best served by placing more emphasis on sleep for the first couple of weeks. Sleep improvement will positively impact the other areas of lifestyle and this will increase the likelihood that changes in diet will be sustainable.
Sometimes the next step recommendation may appear counterintuitive

Focusing on your next step will increase the likelihood you achieve your health goals. The truth is that it’s very hard to achieve lasting improvements in physical activity, nutrition and weight management when there are deficiencies in sleep, stress and/or happiness.
