Your lifestyle is made up of a series of daily choices
We all make choices every day that impact our sleep, stress management, happiness, exercise and nutrition. It’s our goal to help you make choices that improve your overall health and wellbeing.
The different components of your lifestyle are linked and impact one another
For example, when you sleep well, you feel less stressed. You will have more energy to work out and you’re less likely to mope around watching TV. The reverse is also true: when you stay up all night and get little sleep, you will wake up lacking energy and feeling more stressed. Having less energy will make it more likely you skip exercise and crave more sugar and caffeine.
A healthy lifestyle is the best way to slow down the aging process and improve our quality of life
The latest science shows that healthy lifestyles slow down the aging process. And a healthy lifestyle is within our control. We can improve our sleep, manage our stress, exercise daily and adopt a positive attitude. We can be kind to ourselves and others, and in so doing, improve our mental health. We can limit sugar and processed junk foods and maintain a healthy weight. By adopting these healthy habits and making small changes to our routines, we can control the way we age and increase our health span, the period of our lives that we are healthy. The 11 habits shown on this page are all science based and will help you to increase your overall health, happiness and performance.
Analyze and improve your lifestyle
Look at all areas of your lifestyle so you can understand what components of healthy living you might be missing. You can then start focusing on these areas, Some of the 11 habits are daily behaviors, others are weekly. Some will be things you find easy to do while others may be things you have not thought of before now. These habits both complement and reinforce one another. Strengthen the ones you already have and try to introduce new ones into your routine.
